This Privacy Policy explains what information ZenStow collects, how it is used, and your choices.

This policy applies to ZenStow, including supported mobile and web builds.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information you enter
We may collect information you enter in the app, such as:
- room, container, and item names
- item quantities and prices
- item photo references
- app preferences (for example, display, sound, and theme settings)
2.2 Account and sign-in information
ZenStow can be used without an account. If you sign in, we may process:
- email address
- sign-in credentials needed to authenticate your account
- basic profile data provided by your chosen sign-in method
2.3 Photos
If you choose to attach photos to items, ZenStow may:
- access your camera to capture photos
- access your photo library to select photos
- store photos on your device for display
- when signed in, store eligible photos in account-linked cloud storage for sync
2.4 Purchase information
ZenStow offers optional in-app purchases on supported mobile platforms.
Payments are processed by platform purchase providers. ZenStow does not receive or store full payment card details.
We may process purchase metadata, such as:
- product identifier
- purchase status (for example, pending, purchased, restored, canceled, or error)
- transaction identifiers
- purchase verification data and related error metadata
2.5 Usage and diagnostics
We may collect app usage, performance, and crash diagnostics to improve reliability and functionality. This may include technical device/app context, event metadata, and pseudonymous identifiers.
For feature analytics and troubleshooting, usage events may include user-entered labels tied to in-app actions (for example, room, container, item, and search labels).
2.6 Feedback information
If you send in-app feedback, we may collect:
- feedback message
- optional contact email
- app version, platform, and timestamps
2.7 Runtime configuration and update checks
ZenStow may fetch runtime configuration and update-related values, which may involve standard technical app metadata.
2.8 Information we do not sell or share for ads
ZenStow does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
3. How Information Is Used
We use information to:
- provide core app features
- save your data and settings
- support account-linked sync when you sign in
- process and restore in-app purchases
- review and respond to feedback
- maintain and improve app reliability and performance
- process account deletion requests
- comply with legal obligations and protect service integrity
4. Data Storage and Retention
ZenStow is local-first and supports optional account sync.
- Local app data is stored on your device.
- If you sign in, account-linked inventory data and eligible photos may be stored in cloud services to support sync.
- Purchase metadata, feedback records, and diagnostics may be stored by service providers used to operate app features.
- On sign-out, ZenStow generally clears local inventory data on that device. If unsynced local changes are pending, ZenStow may temporarily retain local inventory data to reduce data-loss risk.
- If you request account deletion, account-linked data is removed from active systems, and limited operational records related to deletion workflows may be retained for up to 30 days before final cleanup.
5. Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell personal information and do not share personal information for targeted advertising.
Information may be processed by service providers used to operate app features, such as:
- authentication and account services
- cloud data storage and sync services
- analytics and diagnostics services
- feedback management services
- app distribution and in-app purchase providers
We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, or service integrity.
6. Third-Party Sign-In Data
Data received from third-party sign-in providers is used only for authentication and account-related app functionality.
We do not use this data for targeted advertising, data brokerage, credit decisions, lending, or generalized AI/ML model training.
You can manage connected app access in your account settings with your sign-in provider.
7. Data Protection and Security
ZenStow uses reasonable technical safeguards, including encrypted network transport where supported.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
8. Permissions
ZenStow may request camera and photo-library permissions so you can capture or select item photos.
ZenStow does not request microphone, contacts, or location access for core functionality.
9. Children
ZenStow is not directed to children under 13.
10. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights related to your personal information, including rights to request access, correction, deletion, or information about data practices.
For California residents, we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

11. Data Deletion Requests
To request deletion of data associated with feedback submissions, diagnostics identifiers, or account-linked sync data, use this link: Request data deletion.
Please include details that help identify your request (for example, account email and approximate date/time).
Signed-in users can also initiate account deletion in-app from
Settings (Delete account).
For in-app purchase history, you can also manage or request records through your platform purchase account, since those providers process and retain purchase transaction records.
12. International Users
ZenStow is operated from the United States (California). If you use the app from another region, your information may be processed in accordance with this policy and applicable law.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Effective date" above when changes are made.
