ZenStow Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information ZenStow collects, how it is used, and your choices.
1. Scope
This policy applies to the ZenStow app, including supported mobile and web builds.
2. Information We Collect
ZenStow stores inventory-related content you enter, such as room names, container names, item names, item quantities, item prices, and app preferences.
ZenStow can be used without an account. If you choose to sign in, ZenStow uses Supabase Auth and may process your email address, authentication credentials needed for sign-in (for example, password for email sign-in, processed by Supabase Auth), and authentication provider data (for example, Google account identifier/profile metadata when you sign in with Google).
For Google sign-in, ZenStow receives basic Google account data used for authentication and account profile display, such as your email address, profile name, profile image URL, and provider identifier data made available by the authentication flow.
ZenStow does not request access to Google user data from Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Google Contacts, or other Google APIs beyond what is needed for account sign-in and account management.
ZenStow offers optional in-app purchases on supported iOS and Android builds, including tip purchases and an unlimited-photos unlock.
When you make an in-app purchase, payment processing is handled by Apple App Store or Google Play. ZenStow does not receive or store full payment card details.
ZenStow may process limited purchase metadata returned by platform purchase APIs, such as product identifier, purchase status/result (for example, pending, purchased, canceled, error), and store transaction metadata needed to complete the purchase flow on-device.
ZenStow uses Firebase Analytics to collect basic app usage events (for example, feature interactions and screen-level usage) to understand product usage and improve the app.
This analytics setup includes event metadata (for example, event name, timestamp, app environment), a pseudonymous install identifier generated by the app, and feature interaction metadata, which may include user-entered labels such as room, container, or item names and search result labels when those interactions are tracked.
In production, ZenStow uses Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash and stability diagnostics (for example, crash traces and technical device/app context) so we can detect and fix app issues.
If you choose to send in-app feedback, your feedback message is sent to our Firebase backend (Cloud Firestore) together with optional contact email (if provided), a pseudonymous install identifier, app environment (dev/prod), app version, platform, and timestamps.
If you choose to attach photos to items, ZenStow can open your camera to capture a photo and open the system photo picker to select one. Selected item photos are stored locally on your device for inventory display and, when signed in, eligible photos may be uploaded to Supabase Storage so they can sync across your signed-in devices. Some local-only photo formats or references may remain on-device only if they cannot be uploaded.
ZenStow does not use analytics data for targeted advertising and does not collect advertising identifiers for targeted ads.
3. How Information Is Used
- Provide core app features for inventory organization
- Save your data and settings on your device
- If signed in, sync inventory data and eligible photos to account-backed cloud storage
- Maintain and improve app functionality
- Review and respond to in-app feedback
- Process optional in-app purchases (for example, tips and unlimited photos unlock)
4. Data Storage and Retention
ZenStow is local-first and also supports optional account sync.
Local data remains on-device until you delete it in-app or uninstall the app.
If you sign in, inventory records (such as rooms, containers, items, and related metadata) and eligible item photos may be stored in Supabase (database and object storage) to support sync.
In-app feedback submissions are stored in Firebase Cloud Firestore to help us review feedback and improve the app.
In-app purchase records and payment methods are managed by Apple App Store or Google Play under your store account.
When you sign out, ZenStow clears local inventory data on that device.
5. Sharing and Disclosure
ZenStow does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for targeted advertising.
Information may be processed by platform providers as required for app distribution, including Apple and Google.
In-app purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play.
Analytics and crash diagnostics data may be processed by Google Firebase service providers.
In-app feedback data is processed and stored using Google Firebase Cloud Firestore.
Account authentication and synced inventory/photo data are processed using Supabase services.
6. Google User Data
Google user data accessed through Google sign-in is used only for user-facing app functionality, including account authentication, account profile display, and optional cross-device sync tied to your account.
ZenStow does not sell Google user data. ZenStow does not use Google user data for targeted advertising, data brokerage, creditworthiness, lending, or generalized AI/ML model training.
If you revoke ZenStow access from your Google account, future Google sign-in authorization will require a new consent. You can manage app access at Google Account permissions.
7. Data Protection and Security
ZenStow uses reasonable technical safeguards to protect data, including encrypted transport (HTTPS/TLS) for supported network requests and provider security controls offered by Supabase and Firebase services.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to reduce risk and respond to reliability or security issues as they are identified.
8. Permissions
ZenStow may request camera and photo-library access where required by the platform so you can capture or select item photos. ZenStow does not request microphone, contacts, or location access for core functionality.
9. Children
ZenStow is not directed to children under 13.
10. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights related to your personal information, including rights to request access, correction, deletion, or information about data practices.

Please include any details that help identify your request, such as your install identifier (if available), account email (if used), and approximate submission date.
For in-app purchase history, you can also manage or request records through your Apple App Store or Google Play account, since those store providers process and retain payment transaction records.
12. International Users
