Privacy Policy
1. Data We Collect
The information you enter - flare logs, symptom notes, foods, pain levels, body parts, and preferences - is stored locally on your device. We do not transmit this data to our servers.
If you enable notifications, your notification preferences and scheduling history are also stored locally on your device.
2. How We Use It
Your data is used only to provide app functionality: saving logs, showing history, generating pattern insights, and scheduling optional reminders. It is not used for advertising, marketing, profiling, or any third-party commercial purpose. It is never used to determine employment or insurance eligibility, and is never shared without your explicit action.
3. Notifications
If you enable reminders, the app may request notification permission and schedule local notifications on your device during active flares or recovery periods. This permission is optional - the app works without it. You can turn it off at any time in your device settings. Notification content is generated on your device and not sent to our servers.
4. Third-Party Services
The app includes Firebase Core for configuration purposes. Firebase Core does not collect personal data in our implementation. See Firebase's privacy information for details.
In-app subscriptions are processed by Apple or Google. We do not receive or store your payment details. Apple and Google handle purchases under their own privacy policies.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
Your data remains on your device until you clear the app's storage or uninstall the app. To request deletion of any information you sent us directly (e.g., by email), contact zenstow.business@gmail.com.
6. Children
Gout Flare Tracker is not directed to children under 13.
7. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your data. For California residents: we do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. To make a request, contact us at the address below.
8. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes take effect when we post the updated policy with a new effective date.
